2024 was a banner year for many pet care businesses!
One of our favorite blogs we get to write is our annual By The Numbers post! We get to look back on the previous year, review some of the incredible data we've seen in Time To Pet, and start to prepare for the year ahead.
This year, the biggest thing that stood out to our team are the 4000+ pet care businesses that trust Time To Pet on a daily basis. We are always amazed to work with such talented people who care deeply about the work they do and the pets (and pet parents) they support.
We officially crossed the 4000 customer threshold in September and we celebrated by supporting four incredibly worthy pet charities, suggested by our employees and our customers. The non-profits selected were:
- Poverty’s Pets based in Phoenix, AZ - Their mission is to end suffering and overpopulation of animals in low-income and underserved communities with a focus on spay and neuter.
- I Heart Dogs Rescue based in Warren, MI - With a mission to lead the no-kill movement by rescuing, rehabilitating, re-homing and providing a place of refuge for homeless dogs, while also providing a haven for the pets belonging to domestic violence survivors.
- Austin German Shepherd Dog Rescue based in Austin, TX - They are focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing German Shepherds from across the State of Texas.
- Cassie's Cats based in Ventura, CA - Run entirely by volunteers, their work is based on helping homeless cats and kittens find safe, loving, permanent homes.
As a team of pet parents and former pet care business owners - it is incredibly important to us to give back to our community of pet people. We are so appreciative of your support along our journey!
Now to the data! Our 4000+ customers provided exceptional pet care service to pet parents in all 50 states and over a dozen different countries around the world. We were blown away when we saw that our customers generated just under a half billion dollars in revenue last year. You read that right. In 2024, pet care businesses processed over $484 million dollars through Time To Pet!
That revenue was earned by our customers delivering exceptional pet care services nearly 16.4 million different times. That is 16.4 million events scheduled for over 650,000 unique pets.
Want to hear something really shocking? Those 650,000 pets were featured in nearly 3000 hours of videos sent to pet parents. That is over 123 days worth of cute pups, adorable kittens, and all types of amazing pets. In fact, our customers sent nearly 820,000 unique videos to their pet parent clients last year.
While videos are incredibly popular in Time To Pet, pet parents also love getting pictures from their pet care pros! Time To Pet customers sent over 50.6 million pictures last year!
One of the data points that we are most proud of is the volume of tips that pet care pros receive through Time To Pet. In 2024, pet parents very generously added nearly $17 million in tips to their payments for their pet care services. Making the process easier of adding a tip to a payment to thank a pet sitter or a dog walker for an exceptional job is one of the most important things we do.

Gathering this data and understanding just how hard our customers work to deliver exceptional pet care services is truly one of the highlights of the year for us. We are so lucky to work with such amazing people who operate amazing companies. We are very thankful for your support in 2024 and can't wait to share more about what we have planned for 2025.
