Scheduling Conflict Detection

We are happy to announce that today we released a very use feature for those companies with multiple sitters: Scheduling Conflict Detection

You will receive a warning when a conflict is detected.

What is Scheduling Conflict Detection?

Scheduling Conflict Detection automatically detects when you are attempting to schedule a sitter for a service that would conflict with an existing service.

For example if James Turner is already scheduled to perform a Dog Walk from 9:30AM to 10:00AM and you attempt to schedule him for a new service, lets say Dog Sitting from 9:45AM — 10:00AM you will automatically be alerted.

As the administrator you are able to override this warning and schedule the service anyway.

How do I enable Scheduling Conflict Detection?

There is nothing for you to do. It is enabled by default!

Is Scheduling Conflict Detection taken into account for Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Staff Options?

Yes! If you have a primary/secondary/tertiary staff selected for a client we check both Staff Time Off Requests and Staff Scheduling conflicts automatically when deciding whether or not to auto-select the primary/secondary/tertiary staff member for a service.

As an example the client John Doe has has James Turner set as his primary staff and Stephanie Smith as his secondary staff. If we schedule a service for John Doe at a time James Turner is already booked Stephanie Smith will be pre-selected for since James Turner is unavailable.
