2023 Q3 Feature Recap

From July to September of 2023, we released some major updates for both our in-home product and our Client and Staff mobile apps. Some of these updates included video support for the mobile app, a new integration option with the program Zapier, a revamped color scheme for the mobile app, and more!

Video Support For The Mobile App

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here – you and your team can now send and record short videos of the pets under your care directly through the Time To Pet mobile app to your clients! To send a video to a client, you can choose to either include it as part of a post-visit update when completing an event or you can attach it when sending a message through a client’s conversation feed.

While no pet parent would ever turn down receiving a photo of their pet, videos can add another layer of reassurance and allow you to capture unforgettable moments that you share with your clients. With the option to save and download the videos to your mobile device, clients and staff members alike can cherish each and every moment that’s been captured through Time To Pet.

Integration With Zapier

For those of you who aren’t familiar, Zapier is a powerful workflow automation tool that connects thousands of independent apps to one another. We’re happy to announce that we have added an option that will now allow you to integrate your Time To Pet account with the Zapier platform. With this new integration, you’ll be able to connect your tools, streamline your operations, save time, and focus on what truly matters – providing exceptional care for your furry clients and their pet parents!

Improved Accessibility For The Mobile App

One of our biggest updates from the summer was the release of an updated color scheme for the Time To Pet mobile app. With the new colors, accessibility has been improved for those with visual impairments.

Added Names To Pet Photos On Staff Schedule In Mobile App

Previously, when viewing an event with multiple pets, if a photo was added for them and you tapped on it, it would simply show you a full-sized version of the image. Now when viewing an event on the Schedule screen in the Staff app, you can tap the photo and the name of the pet will be listed at the bottom.

In addition to being visible on the company calendar located on the main Scheduler screen, holidays can now be seen on the company’s Time Off calendar, as well. This calendar is located in the Scheduler > Time Off section of your account.

Improved Messaging On Short Notice Service Requests

If your company has limitations surrounding when a client requests visits, such as disallowing any service requests to be submitted with less than 24 hours of advance, the request will be immediately denied to the client. Previously, the messaging surrounding these denials was more ambiguous, but we have now updated the messaging to be much clearer why their request is being denied. In addition to explaining that the request has been made with too short of notice, we request they contact your company directly and display the rules you have surrounding such requests.

Inactive Staff Members Are Now Visible On Even More Reports

Previously, inactive staff members were not properly tagged and displayed as being inactive or were not visible on certain reports where you may to retrieve necessary information on them. To amend this, Inactive Staff are now visible on most reports and are tagged as being inactive or grouped under an “Inactive” heading in order to easily distinguish them from active team members. An example of where you can now generate reports including inactive staff members is on the Reporting > Schedule > Visits report.
