Time to Pet now automatically calculates and tracks extra pet and holidays rates.
Extra Pet Rates
Charging for extra pets is a fairly common practice in the pet service industry but every company handles these charges differently. Some companies might only charge for the first additional pet (and each additional pet is free), some companies might charge $1 for the first extra pet, $2 for the second and $3 for every additional pet after that.
Going even further these extra pet rates might be different based on the service being offered. A 1 hour dog walk more than likely has a higher extra pet rate than a 15 minute drop in visit.
Fortunately Time To Pet can handle all of these situations for you automatically. Extra pet rates can be defined on a service by service basis and within each service you can further customize the rate for each additional pet.
Configuring Extra Pet Rates
Extra pet rates are configured on a service by service basis, by default extra pets are free. To modify the rates for an extra pet:
- Navigate to the Services page.
- Edit an existing service or create a new one.
- Modify the rates for each additional pet under “Extra Pet Rates”.
- Don’t forget to save the service.
Extra Pet + means that this rate should be applied to this additional pet and all after. For example in the above picture the first additional pet is $1.00, the second is $2.00, the third is $3.00 and the fourth/fifth/sixth etc.. would be $3.00 as well. If “3rd Extra Pet +” was changed to “3rd Extra Pet” the fourth pet would be free.
