What caused you to get into pet sitting/dog walking?
After attending a business seminar about finding happiness in your day to day work I realized my music marketing business that I had been running successfully for 10 years wasn't really making me happy. I started volunteering as a kennel hand at my local animal shelter and by chance connected with a local pet sitter and dog walker who started me on my doggy adventures full time.
What is the most fulfilling part of owning a pet sitting/dog walking business?
I love getting the chance to bond with so many animals. No matter how hard your day is going or what else is happening in your life you can guarantee you will find lots of happy faces smiling back at you through the day all while you get to be outside enjoying the beautiful parks Sydney has to offer.
What is the most challenging?
Without a doubt the hardest days are the cold rainy days. That's when those happy smiles count the most.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In five years I hope I am still out and about enjoying the sunshine with all the puppies. I am working towards becoming a dog trainer for support dogs and hope to be working in that sector in the future. Dogs are such great healers!
What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business?
What an incredible platform Time To Pet is. I have used other systems in the past and none of them come close to the features that TTP offers. The most valuable aspect would have to be the usability for the clients. Being able to streamline the communication and booking system for them all while looking great makes my job so much easier. The simple app for them to download and easy payment system make me look so good!
