What caused you to get into pet sitting/dog walking?
I decided to venture into the dog walking business because I found walking my own dog, Jasper, to be not only therapeutic but incredibly enjoyable. Whenever I would take Jasper out for a walk, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility. The joy and excitement that Jasper exuded during our walks made me realize the potential to spread that same happiness to other dogs and their owners. Not only would I be providing a necessary service, but I would also have the opportunity to foster the same sense of well-being that walking Jasper brought to me. Thus, Puppy Luv Pet Services was born! Enabling me to combine my love for dogs with the therapeutic benefits of spending time outdoors.
What is the most fulfilling part of owning a pet sitting/dog walking business?
I am incredibly passionate about pets and the joy they bring to our lives. For me, there is nothing more fulfilling than spending time with animals and taking care of them. Therefore, finding others who share this same love for pets is crucial to me. It is a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who understand the importance of a furry friend's well-being and happiness. This has also allowed me to expand my business into other services such as dog grooming, pet sitting, even having pet parties with a live DJ, utilizing all of my staff's talents.
What is the most challenging?
One of the most challenging aspects of pet care is balancing a multitude of mid-day walk requests. It seems like every pet owner's furry friend needs to do their business precisely at noon. The mid-day potty break becomes a crucial part of our daily routine. However, juggling these requests can sometimes feel like solving a complex puzzle.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
Expanding Puppy Luv Pet Services across the East Coast is an exciting new venture that aims to bring our renowned quality brand to major cities within the US. As a trusted and beloved provider of pet care services, we have built a strong reputation for offering top-notch convenient, safe, and reliable services across the DMV area (DC, Maryland, and Virginia). By expanding our services across the East Coast, we hope to reach a wider customer base and provide our exceptional pet care expertise to even more pet owners.
What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business?
Time To Pet has made our lives much easier from onboarding to scheduling. Our clients really appreciate this app as well with its detailed report cards and now with the video feature! 😯. It's dependability has been a VERY big determining factor for us as past products would lose signal very easily during walks and other visits. I have nothing but praises for TTP and can't wait to see the path this app goes in the future.
