What caused you to get into pet sitting/dog walking?
I started pet sitting in high school as a side gig, like I'm sure many of us did. Being a retail manager through the pandemic really stressed me out, and once everything started opening up again, I was getting more and more booked for pet sitting - I thought, why am I turning down pet sitting jobs to work in retail?! So after we closed on our home in April of '21, I took the dive to go full time & never went back!
What is the most fulfilling part of owning a pet sitting/dog walking business?
My favorite part about being in the industry is that we get to be a part of people's families whenever they can't be there themselves. I really take pride in having a team that brings peace of mind to our clients with their professionalism & genuine passion for their pets!
What is the most challenging?
Work-life balance can be hard to find, especially in this industry. I've gotten really good at time blocking for work, and recently started doing it for my personal time so that I have time built into my day to only worry about me!
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
Booming! We have grown insanely fast, and I'm so excited to bring our brand to more local families!
What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business?
Time To Pet has allowed my business to grow quickly & efficiently. I can truly say that we would not be where we are today without it. Going back to my teams, professionalism, the app, and report cards just add to that for my clients. You won't find us anywhere else!
