What caused you to get into pet sitting?
In my past career in the media industry, I worked in offices far away from cute animals and sunshine. I decided to change my life and pursue what would make me truly happy.
What is the most fulfilling part of owning a pet sitting business?
My answer is twofold: One of the most rewarding things is obviously spending time with animals. When you care for a pet not only are you taking care of their basic needs but also helping to shape them into a healthier, more well balanced member of the family. The second thing is the satisfaction of being your own boss. Nothing beats having the freedom to decide what direction your life will take!
What is the most challenging?
The most challenging aspect of owning a pet care business is the business aspect of it. Communicating with clients and caring for animals is the easy part. All of the record keeping, technology requirements, etc. keep me on my toes!
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In five years I hope to continue focusing on quality rather than quantity. I would like to have a handful of great team members who share the same commitment to providing unwavering love and care to our fuzzy clients.
What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business?
TTP is a central part of managing our business. We save a lot of time every week because scheduling and managing clients has been smooth. The TTP web and mobile application is a pleasure to use.
