What caused you to get into pet sitting/dog walking?
I was working as a social worker for many years with homeless teenagers and young adults. I moved to downtown Seattle and started an entirely new way of living. I was ready for a break as a social worker and fell in love with dog walking! I can't imagine doing anything else now that I've gotten so close with my pack and their families.
What is the most fulfilling part of owning a pet sitting/dog walking business? I most enjoy relationship building with clients and their pets. I love when clients message me that they ran into a dog I walked their dog with and how happy the dogs were to see one another. It really builds a sense of community even in a big city like Seattle.
What is the most challenging?
Working 7 days a week can be a challenge but I always make it work! Walking in the rainy Seattle winters can get tiresome as well but the beautiful summers well make up for the rainy season!
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I would love to expand into neighborhoods outside of Seattle. I see Fluffybutts Belltown growing, thriving, and having an excellent name in the community!
What has Time To Pet changed the most about how you run your business? Everything! I'd be lost without it for sure. Best customer service, ease of scheduling, and it's a great way for record keeping notes with clients.
